In http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGCJ46vyR9o, "A Vision of Students Today," author Dr. Michael Wesch, shows how technology rules people’s lives because it keeps people entertained. The video showed how much people are using technology because it is more convenient. Some people bought 100-dollar textbooks that aren't even opened by the student who purchased it, just because there is already enough information right in front of them on a computer. It made me realize how much technology matters in my life. I went on a 28 day Boundary Water canoeing expedition without technology and the very first thing I did when I got home was got on the computer. Overall, it showed how much technology can change the learning environment by eliminating the need for textbooks and making information much easier for all students to access.
